No, I don’t mean the 3 that are being prosecuted for their criminal acts I mean all 635 of the chisseling bastards. Best throw in the ones in the European Parliament as well, not sure how many of them there are but it’s got to be several hundred too many.

I wish we could just get a few who really wanted to do something to make the country better and not just feather their own nests. Please don’t tell me we get a chance to change them in a general election cos we just get to choose another bunch of crooked blood sucking scum bags who will be lining their own pockets and eating in Members only subsidised restaurants in the Palace of Westminster that you and I are paying for.

As far as second homes are concerned surely the M.O.D must have loads of empty married quarters within Greater London that are no longer required, why can’t the bloody MPs live in them and save us all a fortune.

I promised myself that I would come on here regularly and write something but here we are months and months have gone by and not a word, I should be ashamed of myself but I’m not, had far too much going on to be sitting in front of a computer blogging away like mad.

Anyway, here we are, it’s almost Christmas and we have had the first snow of this winter already, Suffolk definitely need to get their act together, when lorries are stuck on the Orwell bridge at 8pm and still stuck the next morning there is something wrong with their winter road plan. Still meant I had a nice short day on Friday and was home before 2pm.

Good to be able to report that Jenson did manage to win the Formula 1 World Championship, well done to Brawn ( the man and the team ) for getting him to the title and for picking up the Constructor’s championship. Pity that Jenson is moving on to McLaren for next year, good luck in defending your title, but what a pity there will be no ” Brawn ” team on the grid next year as the majority share has been bought by Mercedes and their partners, would have been nice to see Brawn try to defend their title in their own colours next year. Think it will be McLaren, Ferrari and Red Bull fighting for the title though.

Had a nice holiday in Pembrokeshire in July and popped down again a couple of weeks ago to take the grandchildren’s presents down. Had a really good dinner on the Sunday at the Pendre Arms in Fishguard, can highly recommend it.

Finally started re-decorating the hall, stairs and landing not finished it yet but then the wife has been waiting 15 years for me to start so a few more weeks wont hurt, will it ????

Wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy and lucky new year.

Well it’s been a few weeks since I penned a missive so I thought I had better get my act together and write something.

Jenson has been doing the business on the F1 scene whilst the FIA and the manufacturers teams have been falling out over budget cap proposals and McLaren and Ferrari have been showing everyone how you can spend millions of pounds and get absolutely nowhere.

The politicians have been embroiled in the expenses fiddles and shenanigins. I am totally surprised that there has been so much fuss about it all, did anyone expect more of the gravy train set ????

Had a nice 4 days in Glasgow, saw Marty Pellow in ” The Witches of Eastwick “, an excellent show with an exceptional cast especially Mr Pellow. Found a superb Greek restaurant on Sauchiehall Street, the Konaki, food is excellent and service was great, would recommend anyone to eat there. Saw loads of buses but not sure if one of them was the ” Bloodbus “.

Well another week and another win for Jenson Button and the Brawn team, pity about being washed out by a downpour but I think he would have won anyway, stupid idea having the race so late in the day, I know that it is a better time for the TV in Europe but the real fans, like me, got up for the race when it was on earlier anyway.

Well it cost millions of pounds just for the security arrangements for the G20 and they all went away saying how successful it had all been. This is definitely not on the button. The politicians have had a good chinwag, a good feed and made themselves look good to their respective electorates but the bankers and financiers are free to carry on the way they have been, the way that has dragged us all down into a massive recession. They ( the financial wheelers and dealers ) have no controls placed on them to stop them dragging us all down in the future, it wont be too long before they are back with their snouts in the trough and the next time this happens it will be greeted with incredulity by the people who should have slapped the controls on them that are so sorely needed. Wake up politicians and wake up world or in the next 20 or 30 years we will all be going through the same old same old and no one will take the blame then just as no one has taken the blame now.

At last, the start of a new Formula 1 season where Sandra gets to hate me from March till October and moan incessantly about how little I have done around the house. Personally I don’t think I do anymore the rest of the year but F1 gives her something to focus on and blame for my lack of interest in housework in general and DIY. It’s not that I don’t want to see the house nice and clean and tidy and the paintwork pristine and all the little doo dads in place that make a woman happy it’s just that life is really so short that I find it difficult to drum up enthusiasm for the mundane. I have convinced her now though that if necessary the vacuum cleaner doesn’t actually know the difference between 1 days dirt and 2 days dirt ( not that dirt would dare to exist here ).

Anyway what a cracking race, a well deserved win for Jenson and the new Brawn team, if Lewis is not going to have the car to defend his crown ( I think that McLaren will sort the car out fairly quickly though ) then what better result than Jenson be crowned World Champion in 2009. Have to say hats off to the BBC, was concerned that they would bugger it up but they did really well and I did appreciate ( thanks to their investment in digital technology ) the F1 forum afterwards, this is a quantum step up from the coverage that ITV ( excellent though their coverage was ) provided and a reason for Sandra to hate me and the BBC even more this season.

Looking forward to Malaysia next weekend already and here was Sandra thinking I would only be a good for nothing every other weekend.

Had a few minutes on the Wii Fit this afternoon, got a Wii Fit age of 47, not bad. Got to get a bit fit for the coming week as I’m decorating the hall stairs and landing, well Sandra has been moaning about it for about 15 years now so I figured it was time to get off my fat butt and actually do something about it. Got a week off work to get it all done but made sure Sandra takes a week off as well otherwise I’ll just sit in front of the telly every day till about 3-30 in the afternoon and then rush around and do a bit and then tell her how hard it had been.

As said previously I was dragged off kicking and a screaming on Saturday night to hear the tribute bands. Never having been a Bowie fan what surprised me most was just how many of his songs I knew and liked and pretty much the same with Blondie. Anyway, with keyboard in hand, on Sunday I accessed my Amazon one click account ( can keep you poor if you get carried away ) and purchased 2 albums,” The Best of Bowie ” and ” Blondie, Greatest Hits “. They arrived on Tuesday and I’ve been listening to them today in the lorry and there are definitely some excellent tracks, money well spent.

Wonder who she is going to drag me off to see next ???

Sandra took me swimming last night, it’s a Monday night ritual now we come home from work, we go swimming, we come home and eat ( very late, in fact very very late, too late really ) then we go to bed. I really don’t know why she makes me go, I have a shower every day so why do I need a bath on a Monday ?????

Good old Mandy reckons Brits don’t want to work, we either are not available or are unwilling to fill vacancies. He also suggests that the influx of foreign workers has had no adverse effect on our jobs market. Well Mandy my old dear, what effect would it have on your job prospects if foreigners were allowed to come into the country and walk straight into politics, how would it be if some Eastern European worker was prepared to come in and do a politicians job for less than you are prepared to do it, wouldn’t be a lot of native politicians in the house of Commons or the house of Lords would there, just a load of Latvians, Estonians et al prepared to do what you get paid thousands of pounds to do for minimum wage. Probably be a good thing, it’s about time we got shot of your kind of people, the kind of people who wouldn’t have a clue how to survive on benefits or the kind of wage that the influx of foreign workers has driven our wages down to. Pompous asses like you should remember whose money it is that pays your over generous salary. It’s about time you realised that you and all your fellow snout in the trough politicians from all sides of the establishment rule with our permission and thankfully at the next election at least you and the bunch of prats that now make up the government will be gone.

Then in another 8 or 10 years we’ll be sick of the next lot and give them their marching orders. What a pity that none of you ever asks yourselves what is really right for the country and the people. You are all too busy lining your own pockets and making sure those that fund your party ( no matter what party is in at the time ) keep putting their hand in their pocket to fund you some more.

While I’m at it why the hell do you keep giving ” think tanks ” ( I really mean your blue sky thinking, money grabbing gravy train riding mates ) loads of our money for trying to come up with good ideas ( for good ideas read more ways to screw the taxpayer and improve your own lot ), why not ask the people, I’m sure you’d get lots of ideas and it wouldn’t cost the tax payers £millions in the process.

Now if only the wife could make Mandelson go swimming on a Monday I could drown the little bugger and do us all a favour.

So a think tank has come up with the suggestion that people caught dropping litter should be penalised heavily for their anti social behaviour, great I totally agree. The same think tank suggests that people who hand in glass bottles and tin cans should be rewarded.

So you now have to be bribed to do the right thing, well actually I don’t drop litter so reward me. I also don’t take drugs, don’t mug old ladies, don’t rob banks, don’t steal cars………………………

wow, I should be in for a whopping great reward for doing the right thing. Mr Brown please forward the cheque to my home address, I’m sure you know who I am and if you don’t you’ll know someone who does.
